LaFramboise: Review for the assessment: goals of the Constitution:
- To form a more perfect union (to make a better country than the one under the Articles)
- Establish Justice (to ensure all people are treated fairly and ethically by the government)
- Insure domestic tranquility (keep the peace within the country)
- Provide for the common defense (protect the country from foreign and domestic threats)
- Promote the general welfare (concern and actions of the government for the well-being of the citizens)
- Secure the blessings of liberty, to ourselves and our posterity (to protect the rights and freedoms of ourselves and future generations)
Which goal is most important? And why?
